One more "CHANGE"

Do you remember that my word for the year was "Change"? In keeping with this theme, I have begun to change one more aspect of my life. I have decided, once and for all, that I am tired of being a fatty. Others (I know you are out there) will say that it's unrealistic to lose weight, so why even try? Well, darn it!!! (I really want to say something else!) I have to try--if not to look better but to feel better. I am so sick and tired of going home every night and feeling depressed because I am so tired and have ZERO energy to do anything. I am tired of being tired. NO MORE!!!

I have started on the LA Weight Loss plan. I don't go to the actual company or see anybody, but I am using what a friend of mine is doing through the plan. She has lost about 40 lbs. since Christmas just doing the meal plan. I want that to be me!! She has given me all the information, food diaries, cookbook, etc. I have been on the weight loss plan only for a week and a half, but you know what? I feel better already! I have lost *about 3 lbs (my mom's scale is hard to read), but I definitely have more energy! I go to bed by 10 pm--NOT 7:30, 8:00. I am exercising 3x/week, either by walking (and even adding in some jogging, except I feel like I am going to die when I do that) or by working out to my Biggest Loser Cardio Boot Camp DVD.

Here is my meal plan for just one day:
4 proteins
4 veggies
3 fruits
4 starches
2 dairy
2 fats

A typical day for me is:
Breakfast--oatmeal and a banana
morning snack--string cheese and grapes
Lunch--1/2 sandwich, 90 cal Sunchips, yogurt, carrot sticks
afternoon snack--protein bar
Dinner--brown rice, steamed broccoli w/ cheese, grilled chicken breast
evening snack--celery with peanut butter

Let me tell you, the first few days of eating all of this I didn't think I could do it. I NEVER eat this much food in one day, but it is the correct combo of food. I wasn't eating a whole lot to begin with, but it was all crap! Now, I am hungry for breakfast and hungry for dinner (still not all that hungry for lunch...).

Since I am turning the big 3-0 tomorrow (God bless us all!), I decided I wanted to make a change; not just a temporary change for the now, but a PERMANENT change for tomorrow. I'll keep up the posts and let you know how I'm doing. Thank you, in advance, for all of your support. I will need it!
